Bee Delivery is an online food delivery service that connects customers with local restaurants and food providers. They can shuffle through the entirety of full menus via the Bee Delivery mobile app and place orders to enjoy food in the comfort of their preferred location.

What is Bee Delivery?

The online food delivery app aims to simplify the process of placing food orders online. Bee Delivery strives to connect customers and restaurants seamlessly so that both parties can have a win-win deal.

With the mobile app, the customer can place an order for one or many meals from local restaurants. These restaurants add their full menus on the Bee Delivery app to make it easy for customers to find them and place an order.

The project idea was to develop a food delivery mobile app that allows customers to order meals from local restaurants and track the delivery of the same in real time. Users can choose restaurants based on reviews and ratings left by others.

Additionally, the users can share their favorite food items and restaurants with their friends and family via social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram.

The most important challenge that we faced while building the Bee Delivery app was the adjustment to delivery times with respect to Daylight Savings Time (DST). Moreover, we need to build an app that is easy to use by both business owners and customers.

To develop a robust and fast mobile app, we leveraged the latest mobile app development tech stack that included Angular, AWS, and MongoDB. Additionally, we used the advance moment time zone package to solve the issue of daylight saving settings.

How does Bee Delivery Work?

Upon launching the app, the user sees all the restaurants available on the home screen. Clicking on a particular restaurant will allow the customer to go through its entire menu. Customers can also search for restaurants by using the search bar.

The user needs to add at least one food item to their cart to place an order. Once all the food items have been decided, the customer needs to place the order by adding a valid address and choosing a payment method.

After the order has been placed, the customer will be able to live-track the order. The user can leave additional delivery instructions for the delivery agent via the in-app messaging feature.
